Mbukusa Gratitude, 17 years old

What is your tribe/mother tongue?

Subia, Caprivian/Zambezian

What is your favourite thing about school?

Hanging out with my friends and classmates and learning from the teachers at school.

Who lives with you at your house? What are some of the chores you have to do at home?

I live with my mom and three little cousins. I sometimes have to cook, water the garden and clean the house.

What would you like people in America to know about your country, Namibia?

It is a very beautiful country with stunning tourist attractions such as the Dunes. I wish everyone in the world could see them.

What are some of your goals and dreams? What do you want to be when you grow up?

One of my goals next year is to achieve 35 points in grade 12 so that I can study medicine and become a doctor.

What is your favourite thing about Namibia? What is your favorite thing about your culture/tribe?

My favourite thing about Namibia is the food and the people who live in Namibia. My culture has a diverse way of speaking English.

Who is your hero and why?

My Dad. He has achieved so much in his lifetime that it also encourages me to achieve great things in life.
