Maria Brockerhoff, 15 years old

What is your tribe/mother tongue?


What is your favourite thing about school?

The fact that I get to learn new things everyday and participate in activities.

Who lives with you at your house? What are some of the chores you have to do at home?

My parents, my brother, sister, aunt and grandfather. I clean the house and wash the dogs.

What would you like people in America to know about your country, Namibia?

It is a very beautiful country, it has a lot of beautiful animals, and it is the land of the brave.

What are some of your goals and dreams? What do you want to be when you grow up?

My aspiration in life is to finish my studies and become an astronaut.

What is your favourite thing about Namibia? What is your favorite thing about your culture/tribe?

I really like the different tribes and cultures in one place. Also no one is racist here.

Who is your hero and why?

My mother because she raised us on her own and she would do anything for my siblings and I.
