Lydia Haikali, 16 years old

What is your tribe/mother tongue?


What is your favourite thing about school?

Learning. I also like meeting new people every year. Mostly I love learning new words to express myself.

Who lives with you at your house? What are some of the chores you have to do at home?

I live with my father, step mother and step siblings. At home I mostly clean the house, wash dishes and cook.

What would you like people in America to know about your country, Namibia?

Namibia has wonderful wild animals and people with warm kind hearts. We have beautiful a culture.

What are some of your goals and dreams? What do you want to be when you grow up?

I would love to become a scientist to experiment with new things. I believe in science.

What is your favourite thing about Namibia? What is your favorite thing about your culture/tribe?

I love my culture’s dance moves.

Who is your hero and why?

My hero is Zora because I believe in science.
